Games can build social identities

Game developers have made the a network between players to be interactive and allow them to great their own personality in the game with their character.
Either it's to create a social status within the game, such as rankings in guilds or team party:

The exploration of the world:

Or the ability to choose the race, gender or profession of their character, by making them who they are or what they wish to be:

Playing and participating in playing MMO games, allow individual to meet potential friends who'd they have never probably met in person, but gain a friend through online, whether from joining a guild, a community or a friend of a friend.
Games are not only build social status of individuals but also through the relationship build with other individuals, gamer's tend to find it help them with their lack of self-esteem by creating such as encouragement, a positive self-esteem, confidence, etc. (Paraskeva, Mysirlaki, & Papagianni, 2010)

What are MMOG?

What is the first word that comes to mind, when the word “games” pop up?
An individual interaction with another individual in person, with a set of rules, or is it when an individual challenging themselves with a problematic brain solving case?
While many enjoy these type of mind challenging or easy relaxing games with other individuals.
This isn't about set of games we have been taught since our childhood, such as hop scotch, tennis ball, tag or games we challenge ourselves such as crosswords and Soduku.
Instead this is about games that exist today on the platforms all gamer's play; PlayStation 4, Xbox One and/or PC.
Game developers have continued creating and develop the ‘ideal’ gaming world, as for gamer, who would use their hard earn money to buy new games and explore the story they have created for the gamer, to explore and experience the exciting moment of what is it to be the character they have created, by putting the gamer's shoes in the character’s shoes or creating a character and creating their story, having a story in a way, how they would like to be played out with the option of decision they can make during the game.
A bit of history...
Since 1972, when the first and earliest game “Pong” ("Pong", 2016)
Of course, not to forget to mention, the idea of a 3D dimension was first researched and developed after the idea from “MUDs”("History of massively multiplayer online games", 2016) which created the first game “Dungeons & Dragons” in 1974. ("Dungeons & Dragons", 2016)
Allowing gamer developers to build their ‘ideal’ gaming world, bringing the idea of having no limit on interactivity with the amount other individuals, which we call “Massively Multiplayer online game” aka “MMO” or “MMOG”, ("Massively multiplayer online game", 2016) not only allowing an increase of players to interactive with other players but also with the story.
MMO or MMOG is defined which as quoted;
online games give the player the ability to compete against players over a network.” (Farrukah, 2012)
And it’s quoted that;
online computer games that enables hundreds or thousands of players from various parts of the world.” (Farrukah, 2012)
(Here we can see, in the picture there are other players within the same time, from other parts of the world.)
There are games that exist today, with an incredible popularity and great interactivity with other players e.g. League of Legends, Dota2, CSGO, Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft, etc.
